Posted 27 days ago by Aimee Rothe

Alabama ED Nurses, the ALENA is sharing the below information to assist our collegues at the ALPQC in gathering some crucial data via a needs assessment of what ED throughout the state need in terms of OB related emergency care. Please consider completing the below survey on behalf of your department.

To Whom It May Concern,

As part of an effort to support emergency departments with caring for obstetric and neonatal patients, the Alabama Perinatal Quality Collaborative (ALPQC) is conducting a needs assessment to understand what emergency departments (ED) need to:

- Maintain equipment and supplies to meet the needs of obstetric and neonatal patients,
-Quickly recognize obstetric and neonatal complications,
-Appropriately respond to changes in maternal and neonatal health status, and
 - Report/transfer patients to a higher level of care when needed

We are interested in equipping and training emergency units to support Alabama moms and babies. We will ask you specific questions to tailor these trainings to the needs in your unit. Information on individual hospitals will not be publicly shared or reported. Any findings shared or publications will be in aggregate. The information collected will support targeted efforts to improve readiness, including individualized outreach for quality improvement purposes through a member of our team. Please help us with this work by completing the following assessment on behalf of your hospital.

As a THANK YOU, we will offer a $50 gift card.  Please be sure to enter your information at the end of the survey so that we can send the gift card to you. We ask that only one respondent per facility respond.
